Welcome to The Dynasty Guy’s (Inaugural) QB Rankings for the 2012 season. These rankings assume 4 points per passing TD and are intended for dynasty leagues. While the upcoming season is taken into consideration, players are ranked on a 3+ year horizon. Act accordingly! If you want to know who is better this year, go look at redraft league projections.
I’m going to rank pretty deeply into the QB pool to accommodate those of you that play in larger leagues (32 team leagues are EPIC) and two start leagues. Make sure to scroll all the way down for analysis/commentary.

MOVING UP
Matt Ryan – I was already high on Ryan and obviously, it’s only preseason, but this offense is going to open up and Ryan will be the main beneficiary. I’m VERY tempted to move him above Brady based on age, but I just can’t do it. Yet.
Joe Flacco - Living in the Baltimore area has exposed me to more BAL games than I’d care to watch (Ray Rice excluded) and I can’t shake the feeling that Flacco is just a strong armed guy with questionable accuracy. However, it looks like BAL is going to allow him to use his arm take the shackles off of him. He’s a FA next year (unless they give him the franchise tag) and BAL obviously wants to see if he’s worth an extension. This is make or break time for Flacco.
Matt Cassel - Moving up… but not that far. Cassel has a TON of weapons in KC (more than he had in NE). Unfortunately, he doesn’t still play for BB. He appears to have improved thus far in preseason action and if he can stay healthy, he should be able to take advantage of opponents propensity to focus on the KC running game. Most of his value is derived from the talent around him and if KC ever moves on, he’ll drop precipitously in the rankings. If he plays well this year, I’d probably look to move him for max value.
Chase Daniel - Looking for next year’s Flynn/Kolb? Here he is. FA in 2013, playing well when he sees the field. He’s a good speculative add.
Nick Foles - I’ll put the over/under on games started this year at 2.5. I’ll take the over. Vick isn’t starting 16 and Foles will get an opportunity, either because of injury or when the Eagles find themselves locked out of the playoffs.
Ryan Tannehill - Looking more and more like the week 1 starter, despite unimpressive numbers against 1st string defenders. In other news, LAUREN TANNEHILL.
MOVING DOWN
Jake Locker - Rough so far. Not looking very impressive. I’m growing more worried that he can’t beat out Hasselbeck. Just named starter. That’s better.
Kevin Kolb - LOL.
Ricky Stanzi - Ok, I’d like to take back everything I said about him. Still has a rocket arm though.
I was examining some of your posts on this website and I think this web site is really informative! Continue posting.
